Toys 'R' Us began in 1948 when Charles Lazarus opened a baby furniture store. As time passed, baby products and toys were added to the inventory. Toys 'R' Us became a public company in 1978 and has remained a well known and loved toy and children’s product company.

Each year Toys 'R' Us comes out with a big holiday toy book that children across the country use to make holiday wish lists. The store is known for kicking off the holiday shopping season with great Black Friday deals. Last year the store opened its doors to holiday shoppers at midnight on Black Friday. Every year it is one of the most popular places to shop for children’s Christmas and holiday gifts.
